18th December,2022: Greatest FIFA world cup final I have ever seen

 Today I thought about sharing my overall experience about the 2022 FIFA world cup final. So, The Final was held on December 18, 2022. The match took place at the Lusail Stadium in Qatar. The day was Sunday. I was so excited about this match.  I went to one of my cousin's house and me along with my all other cousins watched the game together.  The match started at 10 pm Bangladesh standard time. All of my family members are Argentina supporter. So we cheered for Argentina from the very beginning. This much anticipated clash and showdown between Argentina and France had everything: passion, drama, iconic comebacks and two of the world's most finest footballers: Lionel Messi & Kylian Mbappe, battling for the ultimate glory.

Argentina team started the match with high intensity and full of positive energy. Messi's leadership skill was absolute top notch throughout the tournament. Argentina quickly seized control from opposition & literally dominated the first half of the contest. Lionel Messi, in his fifth and most probably in his last world cup appearance, was totally well determined to finally lift the trophy that had escaped him for so long. In the 23rd Minute, he converted a penalty and scored the first goal of this match. My and my cousin started hearing the "GOAAALLLLLLLLLLL" shouts from nearby places & the crowd reaction was simply electrifying. A few moments later, Angel Di María increased the lead with a beautiful goal. That was a shot of authority from Angel Di María. The first half surely belonged to Argentina, as they were on the driving seat with 2-0 goal lead. The stunning second goaaal before half time just put extra pressure and all sorts of bother on French side, as the  Defending  Champions were  not playing up to the mark. We were fully convinced the way Argentina were playing & backing them to go all the way. 

Halfway done, our satisfaction was incredibly high. But little did we know that there was a twist in the tail still awaiting for us. Even after halftime, for most of the time, it seemed like Argentina would easily win this match & cruise to victory. France seemed unable to respond, done and dusted, but Kylian Mbappé had other plans. France was desperately searching for a miracle and the tournament's standout player, Kylian Mbappé took all the responsibilities in his shoulder and delivered. In the 80th minute, he finally scored the first goal. In 81st minute, Mbappé scored the equaliser. Things started getting interesting with a blink of an eye. Suddenly, it was game on, and the tension begin to rise as both teams pushed for a winner in extra time. At that point everyone was feeling more or less nervous.

The extra time game has started. We, the Argentina supporters, were also started worrying. When Messi scored in the 108th minute again, sending Argentina fans into delusion. Our joys knew no bound.  After a little bit of hesitation, with the help of VAR, the referee declares it a goal as the ball  crossed the line. But i didn't last long,as Mbappé answered with a penalty in short time. In 118th minute, he completed a historic FIFA world cup final hattrick. Only the second player ever to do so. The score was 3-3. After that, during the extra time, emi Martinez has dived an unbelievable save. Otherwise the match would've ended there. I almost had heart on my hand. What a nail biting stuff that was!!!

Thus, the game was finally decided  by penalty shootout's, where Argentina hold their nerves and sealed the deal by 4-2 .

The Dream finally turned into reality for Messi, Argentina & the fans worldwide.

After match, I entered Facebook and the newsfeed was absolutely wholesome. Everything was worth it. Streets will never forget. So I will conclude this whole text saying, it was the best day,best world cup, best final ever.
